Palliative Care

GettyImages-620984002.jpgNorthern Light Palliative Care helps patients navigate the challenges of serious illness. We help patients feel better by addressing side-effects of disease and treatment. Your quality of life is improved, and stress for patients and families is reduced.

Palliative care means providing relief from symptoms and stress of your illness or condition. We work in partnership with your care team. They treat your disease; we help you manage it.

Palliative care provides support for patients with cancer, or heart, lung, liver, or kidney disease, ALS, Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s, dementia, or other chronic illnesses.

Palliative care is patient and family centered. Besides disease management, it treats the emotional, practical, social or spiritual problems that illnesses can bring about.
When you receive a diagnosis of a chronic or life-limiting disease, it’s important to understand that you have choices regarding your treatment.

We believe in empowering our patients and their families with knowledge, and we work with other medical providers to help patients receive the care that is right for their unique, personal situation. With expert care and support from our team of nurses, social workers and therapists, our goal is to improve the quality of life for patients and their families.

If you or a loved one is managing a life-limiting disease, let’s talk. We will help you focus on relief of symptoms and gaining control over how you feel. Together, with oversight from the patient’s doctor, we work to focus on the best quality of life possible.
