Northern Light Cancer Care is pleased to welcome Taruna Arora, MD, oncologist and hematologist, to the team. Dr. Arora cares for adult patients with a variety of cancers and has interests in benign hematology, and solid tumors including skin and lung cancer.
Collaborating with Hannaford to Support Food Access for Patients in Need

Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center and Hannaford Supermarkets are teaming up to stock the Community Cupboard, a food pantry located on the medical center’s State Street Campus. Hannaford has contributed $10,000 to Eastern Maine Medical Center, in the form of gift cards, to purchase nutritious food that aligns with the health needs in the community.
Spotlight on the Second Annual Youth Mental Health Summit

Caring for young people means ensuring their mental and emotional wellbeing is part of the conversation. It’s not only important to talk about mental health, teens need tools to help them cope as they navigate becoming adults in this complicated world. To support teen mental health in the community, Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center invites high school students in the Greater Bangor area to take part in the second annual Youth Mental Health Summit on Thursday, March 13 from 8 am to 4:30 pm at Gracie Theater, Husson University, Bangor.
Northern Light Health Earns Gold Infant Safe Sleep Certification

Northern Light Health is pleased to announce that it’s achieved the highest certification of “gold” from the Safe Sleep Hospital Certification Program. This certification program, run by the national nonprofit Cribs for Kids, recognizes a commitment to best practices in infant safe sleep, ensuring the highest standards of care for young patients.
