New Medical Director Leads Northern Light Surgical Weight Loss

Bangor, Maine (February 8, 2024) — For more than 35 years, Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center has helped people reshape their lives through a comprehensive weight loss surgery program. The medical center is pleased to share that Matthew Sharbaugh, DO, bariatric surgeon, Northern Light Surgical Weight Loss, recently accepted the position of medical director for the program.
An update on our unplanned network downtime

On Saturday afternoon, February 3, 2024 Northern Light Health discovered that some of our computer servers had been compromised. While none of the affected servers contain patient information, we made the decision to take our patient records systems offline and use downtime procedures during investigation of this incident and any needed repairs.
