What’s the link between second-hand smoke and SIDS?

With becoming a new parent can come lots of worries and concerns. One worry that tops the list may be the safety of your baby while sleeping and the chance of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). By now, you’ve likely heard that removing unnecessary bedding and putting your baby to rest on their back are steps you can take to reduce the risk of SIDS. Did you know another important choice is to not allow anyone to smoke around your baby. Second-hand smoke weakens the baby’s lungs and can increase their risk for SIDS, according to the Maine CDC.
