An update on our unplanned network downtime

Date: 02/05/2024

An update on our unplanned network downtime.

As we have already shared, this past weekend our computer monitoring systems revealed that some of our computer servers had been compromised. None of the affected servers contain patient information, however out of an abundance of caution we made the decision to take our patient records systems offline and use downtime procedures while we investigate what happened and implement any remedial measures.

Our teams have worked around the clock over the weekend to conduct a thorough review of our servers and ensure they are in working order. We are now working on bringing our electronic medical record back online today. This is a big job, and our focus as always is patient safety and privacy.

  • Our hospitals remain open and ready to care for our patients, and most of our services continue uninterrupted.
  • Unless you have been contacted directly, any appointments you have are still scheduled - your care team will be ready to see you as planned.
  • Outpatient lab orders are unable to be accessed at this time. If your provider has ordered outpatient labs, you will need to bring a paper order with you.
  • We currently have limited ability to see messages in our patient portal, and do not have the ability to return messages in the system. Medication refill requests sent using the portal will be processed but may take longer than usual. If you have an urgent renewal request, please call your provider’s office.
  • If you are calling one of our offices today, please understand that call volumes will be higher than normal, and we are doing our best to answer calls as quickly as we can.
