Date: 06/23/2023

Northern Light Sebasticook Valley Hospital has announced that its four primary care offices in Pittsfield, Clinton, and Newport have been recognized for their excellent quality and patient care. The recognition comes from the Patient-Centered Medical Home program of the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) - an independent organization that works to improve healthcare quality through evidenced-based standards, measures, and programs.

NCQA-logo.png“NCQA Patient-Centered Medical Home is the gold-standard designation for Primary Care practices across the country,” says Paul Arsenault, VP of Physician Services. “Achieving this recognition requires continuous focus and improvement as we ensure we are meeting our patients’ needs. I am proud that once again all of our Primary Care locations have earned this highest distinction.”

The practices received the recognition after a rigorous annual survey. NCQA’s, Patient-Centered Medical Home recognition program is the most widely adopted evaluation program in the country, with approximately 13,000 practices (with 67,000 clinicians) recognized by NCQA. Practices that earn recognition have made a commitment to continuous quality improvement and a patient-centered approach to care.
