Primary Care Walk-In Access is open to new and existing patients of all ages. All locations provide lab and imaging services, easy access to other hospital services if additional care is needed, and connections to the patient portal to view visit information, testing results, and more.
“There’s never a good time to get sick or injured, but when you need to be seen, it’s good to have options that fit your busy life,” says Rachel Kinney, FNP-C, a practitioner who provides walk-in and same-day care at Primary Care, Dover-Foxcroft. “Not only is walk-in access convenient, it is provided in our existing health centers by the same practitioners and staff that patients know and trust.”
Illnesses and injuries treated at Primary Care Walk-In Access include earaches, respiratory congestion, rashes and skin infections, vomiting and upset stomach, urinary tract infections, minor sprains and strains, headaches, and more.
“We’re offering walk-in access in response to patient requests for a fast, convenient, no hassle option for care,” says Marie Vienneau, president, CA Dean and Mayo Hospitals. “This model also provides an alternative to the Emergency Departments for non-urgent needs, which frees up our ED staff to focus on caring for patients who are experiencing medical emergencies.”
While an appointment is never needed for walk-in access, Northern Light Primary Care patients may choose to call their medical office to ask about a same-day appointment with their practitioner before coming in.
