Mercy Wound and Hyperbaric Medicine welcomes three new specialists

Northern Light Mercy Hospital is pleased to welcome Angela Meyer, MD, Tammie Hutchinson, FNP, and Jamei Murphy, APRN to Northern Light Mercy Wound and Hyperbaric Medicine. They join a board-certified team that provides assessments, testing, and treatment, including hyperbaric oxygen therapy, for people suffering from acute and hard to heal wounds.

Tammie Hutchinson, FNP
Tammie Hutchinson is a family nurse practitioner with nearly eighteen years of experience as a certified wound and ostomy nurse. Her wound care expertise includes the cause of wounds, dressing care, nutrition, and wound healing. She also strives to educate patients on lifestyle modifications that promote future wound prevention. Tammie is board-certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and holds a Wound and Ostomy Certification from Emory University.

Jamei Murphy, APRN
Jamei Murphy is an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) with extensive experience in the care and treatment of wounds caused by pressure, diabetes, vascular issues, burn trauma, post-operative complications, and more. She is also an experienced educator, having served as preceptor for students enrolled in the physician assistant program at the University of New England in Biddeford. Jamei is certified by the American Board of Wound Management (ABWA) and maintains memberships in the Maine Nurse Practitioner Association and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

Angela Meyer, MD
Dr. Angela Meyer is a board-certified physician with a background in emergency medicine. Prior to joining the wound clinic, she was an emergency department physician at Mercy Hospital for over a decade. She earned her medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University and completed a residency in emergency medicine at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. She also earned a Master of Science in Public Health from Tufts University in Boston, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Human Nutrition from Virginia Polytechnic and State University in Blacksburg, VA. Dr. Meyer has lived in Maine for over 13 years, and outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family, skiing, hiking, and traveling.
