Hair Preservation in Memory of Robin Ball

Hair loss is one of the most devastating side effects of chemotherapy treatment for breast cancer, affecting many of the estimated 1,400 Maine women who will be diagnosed in 2019.

A growing number of cancer centers are offering Paxman scalp cooling technology, an option for some patients who are concerned about losing their hair. At the Lafayette Family Cancer Institute, this technology would be offered to breast cancer patients, with the potential to offer it to others in the future.

All funds raised will subsidize the cost of the silicone caps for patients, which are not covered by insurance.

Join us in a powerful show of support for women who are facing breast cancer treatment. Together, we can bring those who are facing breast cancer with what they deserve: an empowering option that provides them with more control over their privacy and treatment.
