East Wing Construction Underway

In August, Northern Light CA Dean Hospital took a big step forward in the modernization of the hospital campus. The patients, equipment, and supplies in the hospital’s East Wing were moved to the main hospital, and the East Wing was turned over the construction crew for renovation.

The East Wing, our skilled nursing unit, will be renovated from top to bottom to create the up-to-date care space that our patients, their families, and our employees deserve. The renovated unit will have modern finishes and fully private rooms.

“There have been a lot of memories made in the East Wing hallways and rooms. Thousands of patients and families have shared some of life’s most important moments, including birthday celebrations, holiday meals, and final goodbyes. When it reopens, it will feel like a completely new space, ready to serve our patients for decades to come,” says Marie Vienneau, FACHE, president, CA Dean Hospital.

The East Wing renovations will be complete by April 2024, just a couple of months after the Buck Family Building, the new main hospital building, opens to patients on February 27.
