Inland honors Chuck & Joan Bickford

We honored Chuck and Joan Bickford today at the Waterville Noon Rotary Club meeting for their decades-long, faithful support of Inland Hospital and Lakewood. A special plaque recognizing the Bickfords now hangs at our clinical education lab.

Inland president, Tricia Costigan, shared the plaque and our gratitude with fellow Rotarians, who shared their own tributes to Chuck and his commitment to service and Waterville. 

Before Chuck passed away last winter, he was a dedicated Rotarian, and he and Joan loved being involved in our community. They supported Inland’s first medical simulation education program years ago. Chuck served as a hospital trustee for 35 years, and Joan was an active Inland volunteer. 

We are proud that the plaque will be a lasting reminder of the Bickford family’s enthusiasm and devotion to their Waterville hospital and continuing care center.
