Associate Vice President of Patient Care Services for Emergency, Critical Care, and Trauma

Jake is thrilled and honored to be a part of the Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center team. He began his healthcare career 19 years ago and has worked in various hospital settings as a nursing assistant, LPN, RN, and in progressive leadership positions. Jake has experience working in and leading long-term care, float pool, emergency, critical care in both adult and pediatric hospitals throughout the United States. Jake received his undergraduate degree in nursing from Weber State University in Ogden, Utah and a graduate degree in healthcare administration from University of North Carolina—Chapel Hill.
 
Jake is board certified as Nurse Executive Advanced and in Emergency Nursing. He is a member of the American Organization of Nurse Leaders, American College of Heath Executives, and American Nurses Association.
 
Jake and his wife have four daughters and recently moved from Davenport, Iowa and are very excited to be in Maine. In their free time, they love playing in the outdoors (even in the snow!)

My goal is to create and sustain a positive work environment, and provide the support, tools, and direction that will allow staff and leaders to be the best versions of themselves. I believe in a continuous goal to provide safe and effective patient care and I am passionate about teamwork; every person is equally a valuable member of our team.
