About the Shared CHNA Reports

Thank you for your interest in Northern Light Health’s Shared Community Health Needs Assessment (Shared CHNA). Northern Light Health has enjoyed a long history of working in partnership with healthcare, public health, and community partners to identify issues and opportunities for collaborative community health improvement.

The Shared CHNA reports present research findings by county level and the state. This research was sponsored by a statewide public-private partnership including Northern Light Health, Central Maine Healthcare, MaineGeneral Health, MaineHealth, and Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention.

These reports provide an in-depth look at population health status, risk factors, barriers to care, demographics, and social factors affecting Maine communities. They also include qualitative summaries from a broad sample of stakeholders representing every county in Maine. Together, this data provides unique perspectives on the collective health of Maine people.

In addition to informing service delivery by individual healthcare, public health, and community partners, we look forward to engaging in community conversations across the state to consider how best to partner and align efforts to address our most pressing needs and community health improvement priorities.

If you have questions regarding the Shared CHNA, please contact Doug Michael, chief community health and grants officer, at dmichael@northernlight.org
