Getting this potentially lifesaving screening is more convenient than ever through Northern Light Health Mobile Mammography. Mobile Mammography offers the same experience as a medical office—it’s spacious, comfortable, and has the latest 3D technology.

The mobile unit travels around Maine to make getting a mammogram as easy as possible. Our community health navigator and screening technologists will explain everything and answer your questions every step of the way, from scheduling your appointment to completing your screening.

The mobile unit provides screening mammography only. Screening mammograms are suitable for regular check-ups, when you have no visible or recognizable symptoms such as, a lump, pain, swelling, discharge, or changes in the size of your breast. If you have been told that you need a diagnostic mammogram, please speak with your primary care provider before scheduling your test to ensure you get the test that meets your needs.

Mammograms are recommended for most women beginning at age 40 because early detection allows treatment to begin sooner when cancer is easier to treat. Cancer doesn't wait, and neither should you.
