We want to assure you that if you've been referred to us for a blood-related concern, it does not mean that you have a cancer diagnosis. If your provider had a concern about the possibility of cancer, they would have informed you prior to making the appointment with us.
Hematology is study of the cause, diagnosis, treatment, prognosis, and prevention of blood diseases. Physicians specialized in blood disorders are known as hematologists. To care for patients with blood conditions, hematologists look at patients’ physiology their clinical pathology and lab work, as well as internal medicine.

- Bleeding disorders such as hemophilia (a group of hereditary genetic disorders that impair the body's ability to control blood clotting), Von Willebrands disease, and idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (the condition of having a low platelet count (thrombocytopenia) of no known cause (idiopathic)
