3rd Annual Ethical Considerations in Healthcare

Join us for the 3rd annual Ethics Conference, designed to expand healthcare professionals’ knowledge about the vast number and range of ethical challenges in healthcare as they surface in their daily work. This conference aims to inform all healthcare disciplines, and will benefit many due to the depth of knowledge, insight, and range of perspectives presented throughout the discussions.

Keynote Address: Institutional Integrity and Decision Making: A Leadership Approach

Keynote/Plenary Speaker
Susan-Belanger.pngSusan I. Belanger serves as the Interim Senior Vice President of Mission Integration and Ethics for Covenant Health. She also serves as the system ethicist. In her role she promotes ethical practice at all levels of the organization with the goal of enhancing of ethical awareness in the delivery of high quality healthcare.

Susan has both a PhD and master’s degree in nursing from The Catholic University of America. Sue received a diploma in nursing and a BSN from Maine schools. She also completed a Master of Arts in Bioethics and Health Policy degree from Loyola University in Chicago.

In her previous positions, Susan was a critical care nurse and educator, a critical care director, a nursing supervisor, a chief nursing officer and a director of education. In addition to her current role, Susan is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Nursing at Georgetown University and teaches ethics to graduate nursing students.
