That’s Caty Nixon in the photo below, a labor and delivery nurse at Medical City McKinney in Texas, headed to her sister’s house for emotional support after a long shift which ended with the delivery of a stillborn baby. Her sister, Laura McIntyre, took the photo below and posted it to Facebook with the caption, “she’s gonna kill me for this pic, but can we just give it up for nurses for a minute?”
Not only did the post hit home for nurses and people all over, NBC News picked it up and did a story on her, which you can see here.
