Our Imaging team uses filmless technology called Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS). The computer network is designed to acquire, transmit, display, store, and retrieve digital medical images efficiently and securely.

The benefits of PACS:

• Providers have immediate access to images and reports, which supports timely clinical care decisions, and is essential in trauma or life-threatening illnesses.
• Images can be transmitted between facilities over a secure network eliminating the need for patients to retrieve images prior to an appointment.
• Images can be enhanced for clarity after the exam, reducing the need for additional tests
• Images can be electronically transmitted to other healthcare organizations or copied onto a compact disc.
