For over 100 years, our skilled nursing team has been providing much needed nursing care to Mainers in their homes. When called in by your physician, our nurses will review your medications, monitor vital signs, treat wounds, monitor overall health, and provide other health related care. Their findings, as well as any concerns they may have about your health, are communicated directly to your physician.
Northern Light also provides the support of a licensed clinical social worker to assess your in-home needs and abilities to make certain that your plan of care includes all the support services that you require. Illness can be a stressful time in any individual's life, but with the right supports, healthy healing can be achieved. Our Social Workers seek to empower our patients and their families find the best way to heal while staying in their homes by offering connections to resources, assistance with any planning needs, and maintaining positive emotional health.
