Northern Light Mercy Hospital is a longtime sponsor of the all-female Tri for a Cure. For over a decade, thousands of women have come together every summer to swim, bike, and run in solidarity with each other, and in honor of everyone we know who has been touched by cancer. The event brings women together as training partners, as courageous newcomers, as survivors, and as champions. Each year, over 1,300 women gather in South Portland to swim, bike, and run in the Tri for a Cure—Maine's only all-women's triathlon. Thanks to the efforts of thousands of supporters, Tri for a Cure has raised more than $18 million for Maine Cancer Foundation, every dollar of which has been reinvested into Maine communities for cancer prevention, early detection, and access to care.
