Hospital Golf Tournament raises over $48,000 for Women’s Health

On Saturday, July 27, a full field of golfers gathered at JW Parks Golf Course for Northern Light Sebasticook Valley Hospital’s Annual Golf Tournament and Auction. The event raised more than $48,000 for Women’s Health Services at the hospital, including free mammograms and stereotactic breast biopsies. 

“As in previous years, our annual golf tournament offers our community a chance to get together outside on a beautiful summer day and have some fun while competing against each other and help support women’s healthcare in our region,” says Northern Light Sebasticook Valley Hospital President Randy Clark, MBA. “A very special thanks goes out to our event organizers, volunteer auctioneer and event emcee Charlie Cianchette, and the many volunteers who contributed their time to make this event a success.”

Since the tournament’s inception in 2001, Sebasticook Valley Hospital has brought in more than $1 million to directly support projects such as the Women’s Health Center, operating room expansion, emergency services, radiology, courtesy van, 3D mammography, 3D echocardiogram machine, and a new state-of-the-art ambulance.
