Date: 07/30/2024
Dreaming of a nursing career? Northern Light Sebasticook Valley Hospital and Eastern Maine Community College (EMCC) are making it easier than ever to pursue a career in nursing by bringing the classroom to our community as part of EMCC’s Nursing Program.
Through a collaborative program, Sebasticook Valley Hospital and EMCC provide future nurses with an option to complete coursework and the majority of clinical rotations in Pittsfield with some in Bangor beginning in the Fall 2025. Students attend class in a group setting at the hospital and “Zoom” to the main section of class together. Students have the presence of a BSN or higher educated nurse facilitator that works in collaboration with the EMCC Nursing Faculty. Limited slots are available with options to enter as a community member or as part of the “Earn While You Learn” program if a Sebasticook Valley Hospital employee.
