Welcome Jenni Zimmerman, family nurse practitioner, to Northern Light Primary Care - Newport Plaza

Northern Light Sebasticook Valley Hospital is pleased to welcome Jenni Zimmerman, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, to Northern Light Primary Care – Newport Plaza. Jenni was previously a nurse at Northern Light Pediatric Cancer Care as well as for Eastern Maine Medical Center. She completed her graduate degree at Maryville University of Saint Louis in Missouri and her undergraduate degree at Husson University in Bangor. She is board-certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

Jenni has a passion for women’s health and pediatrics. She states, “I believe in family-centered care and that patients are not just a sum of their parts. Each encounter should evaluate all aspects of what makes us human, to include not only our physical wellbeing, but always our mental/emotional, social, and spiritual health. Part of checking in on our patients is assessing their access to care, medications, and resources necessary for their individual needs to optimize their outcomes. Actively listening to patients when they are in our care is the single most important piece for both meaningful relationship-building, as well as successful and therapeutic outcomes.”
