Northern Light Primary Care Welcomes Dr. Elizabeth Baratta

Northern Light Primary Care in Newport is pleased to welcome Elizabeth “Beth” Baratta, MD, to the team at the Newport Plaza practice, located at 26 Main Street, Suite 2. 

Dr. Baratta is a primary care physician who treats patients of all ages. She is especially interested in helping make healthcare as accessible as possible to everyone and understanding the non-medical factors that influence health outcomes. 

She looks forward to meeting patients and families and learning how their communities play a role in their lives. Dr. Baratta says, “I believe we can better serve our patients by understanding all the different ways their health is impacted, including things such as food security. This way we can help patients on their journey towards an improved state of health and well-being.” She wants to focus on interventions and treatments that enrich patients’ lives.

Most recently, Dr. Baratta completed her residency at the Center for Family Medicine in Bangor, as well as a fellowship with the Center’s inaugural Arts & Humanities in Medicine program. She earned her medical education from University of Massachusetts in Worcester and is eligible for certification by the American Board of Family Medicine.”
