Northern Light Podiatry Welcomes Dr. Mychak

Date: 11/17/2021

Northern Light Podiatry is pleased to welcome Ashley Mychak, DPM, podiatrist. Dr. Mychak will be seeing patients and performing surgery at three Northern Light member organizations including Sebasticook Valley Hospital in Pittsfield, Inland Hospital in Waterville, and Northern Light Mayo Hospital in Dover-Foxcroft. We are pleased to provide Dr. Mychak’s services to our regional communities, allowing patients to benefit from expert specialty care close to home.

Dr. Mychak provides nonsurgical care for sprains, strains, and all kinds of pains, as well as surgical care for foot and ankle fractures, limb salvage, diabetic wounds and bone infection, forefoot and rearfoot reconstruction for deformities such as bunions, hammertoes, and flat feet.

She says, “I believe in patient-centered care. I often tell my patients, ‘Your foot is my foot until we get it healed.’ Maintaining open communication with my patients and meeting them where they are at helps with healing and success and ultimately getting them back to their mobility and independence.”

Dr. Mychak is fellowship trained from the Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Surgical Fellowship at Ankle and Foot Care Centers in Youngstown, Ohio. She did her residency at the Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency at the University of Pennsylvania-Penn Presbyterian in Philadelphia and earned her medical degree from Des Moines University in Des Moines, Iowa.

Dr. Mychak joins our podiatry team of Dr. James Fullwood in Pittsfield; Dr. Richard Samson and Dr. Jared Wilkinson in Oakland; and Dr. Shannon Meredith in Dover-Foxcroft.
