Holiday Tree Lighting Celebrates Loved Ones and Supports Patient Care

Date: 11/16/2021

The Lights of Life holiday tree at Hathorn Park in Pittsfield will be illuminated to honor and remember friends, family members, caregivers, and others on Wednesday, December 8, 2021.

Community members are invited to purchase lights for the tree to recognize special people in their lives. Every light purchased brightens the tree and supports care provided at Northern Light Sebasticook Valley Hospital.

“In times like these, any way we can bring light to our lives and others is important and even more so when we can honor someone special or the memory of a loved one,” says Terri Vieira, hospital president.

Seven levels of recognition are available, beginning with white lights at $10 and culminating with the star at $1,000. The name of each individual being honored or remembered will be displayed on the Sebasticook Valley Hospital website throughout the holiday season. Upon request, Lights of Life cards will be provided for those who purchase lights to send to honorees.

Sebasticook Valley Hospital invites community members to watch the Lights of Life tree come to life from the comfort of their vehicle and join the vehicle parade (following Santa and Mrs. Claus in a fire truck) to view lights all around town on the evening of December 8. Learn more and view the parade route at https://northernlighthealth.org/SVHLights. The tree lighting will also be posted on the hospital’s Facebook page at 7:30 pm.

Every dollar raised through Lights of Life will stay local to support patient care in Pittsfield and the surrounding communities. For more information or to purchase a light, please visit https://northernlighthealth.org/SVHLights.
