Lights of Life Holiday Tree Lighting Set for December 2
The Lights of Life holiday tree at Hathorn Park in Pittsfield will be illuminated to honor and remember friends, family members, caregivers, and others on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at 6 pm. Community members are invited to purchase lights for the tree with proceeds supporting care provided at Northern Light Sebasticook Valley Hospital.
“The Lights of Life program is a wonderful way to recognize people and bring some joy to our lives during these challenging times,” expressed Terri Vieira, president of Sebasticook Valley Hospital. “And all donations raised stay right here in our community to support our nonprofit healthcare mission.”
Six levels of recognition are available, from $10 white lights to $500 for purple lights, to $1000 for the tree top star. The name of each individual being honored or remembered will be displayed on the Sebasticook Valley Hospital website throughout the holiday season. Upon request, Lights of Life cards will be provided for those who purchase lights to send to honorees.
There will not be a public gathering for this year’s tree lighting due to COVID-19 safety precautions. Instead, a video of the tree lighting will be posted to Sebasticook Valley Hospital’s Facebook page by 6:30 pm on December 2.
