Breast cancer screening: don't delay
Mammograms are recommended for most women beginning at age 40 because early detection allows treatment to begin sooner when cancer is easier to treat. At Mayo Hospital, you have convenient access to digital mammography, which provides higher quality images and leads to fewer false positives. We offer flexible appointments so you can get the care you need around your busy life.

Walk-ins welcome
Ready for your mammogram but haven’t made an appointment? Walk-in appointments are available Monday-Friday between 8 am and 3 pm. Walk-in mammography is appropriate for screening (not diagnostic) mammograms. One year and one day must have passed since your last mammogram. For the shortest possible wait time, please call ahead and we can let you know the best time to come in keeping your wait time as short as possible.
