Northern Light Mercy Hospital receives ‘A’ grade for patient safety

Northern Light Mercy Hospital has received an ‘A’ grade for meeting the highest safety standards in the country according to The Leapfrog Foundation’s most recent hospital safety report. The grade is based on data collected from CMS claims on infection, patient satisfaction surveys, OR and procedural timeouts, and medication administration practices.
 
The safety report assigns grades to hospitals across the country based on their performance in preventing medical errors, injuries, and other harms to patients in their care. The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade is peer-reviewed, fully transparent and free to the public. Grades are updated twice annually, in the fall and spring.
