Northern Light Mercy Hospital welcomes new midwife

Northern Light Mercy Hospital is pleased to welcome Caitlin Sloan, CNM, to Northern Light Mercy Midwives, located at 195 Fore River Parkway in Portland.

Caitlin earned a Master of Science in Nurse-Midwifery from Vanderbilt University School of Nursing in Nashville, Tennessee, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Public Health from Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Massachusetts. Prior to joining Northern Light Mercy Midwives, Caitlin worked as a full-scope nurse-midwife for Central Maine Medical Center and St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Lewiston.

Caitlin is certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB) and is a member of the American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM). Outside of work, Caitlin’s enjoys being active outdoors as well as knitting, cooking, and spending time with her three daughters and husband.

The team at Northern Light Mercy Midwives has been providing midwifery care to the greater Portland community for over 30 years. A fully certified and independent team of nurse midwives work with pregnant and non-pregnant patients to provide a comfortable, intimate, and caring atmosphere for woman of all ages. Services include annual exams, preconception counseling, care during pregnancy, birth and postpartum care, and care throughout menopause.
