Successful 27th year for the Schoodic Scramble

The 27^th Annual Schoodic Scramble teed off on Saturday September 6^th at the Grindstone Neck Golf Course in Winter Harbor with 22 teams competing. Winners this year were Team Emerton- Mixed, Team Sargent- Ladies, and Team Murphy- Men’s. It was a beautiful day on Frenchman’s Bay with the rain holding off until just after the last team left the course.
 
Northern Light Maine Coast Hospital thanks the generous sponsors who continue to make this event an important part of summer tradition, including presenting sponsors – Vicki & Alan Goldstein and the Dixon family; Tent Sponsor- Amica Insurance; Lobster Stew Sponsor- The LobStore; Clubhouse- the Townsend family; Prize Sponsor- the Reed/Bohannon family and Fairway Sponsors- Sorrento Dental and Musquito Harbor Brewing. “And, of course, we are endlessly grateful for our volunteers who work their magic to make the day amazing,” shares Sarah Joy, director of philanthropy.
 
The Scramble raises funds for the Eleanor Widener Dixon Clinic in Gouldsboro where the Northern Light Primary Care practice proudly serves the downeast region. These funds will be used to support infrastructure upgrades and new equipment needed to support patient care.
