Northern Light Maine Coast receives campaign support from Bar Harbor Bank & Trust

Northern Light Maine Coast Hospital is delighted to receive its first major campaign gift from a local business. Bar Harbor Bank & Trust generously pledged $50,000, specifically naming the nursery, to the Building on a Promise Campaign for the Ellsworth Hospital.

The project, including a new birthing center and renovations to patient rooms, will allow Maine Coast to enhance patient experience as well as meet the growing healthcare needs of the community. “Bar Harbor Bank & Trust has been an excellent community partner,” noted John Ronan, Maine Coast Hospital President. “The bank’s continued support and commitment to our hospital is extraordinary.  We are thrilled to announce that because of this gift, we have reached the half-way mark for the $1 million dollar Dixon Challenge.” The hospital is $500,000 away from meeting Mrs. Edith Dixon’s promise to match campaign gifts dollar-for-dollar up to the million-dollar milestone.

“Bar Harbor Bank & Trust appreciates the outstanding commitment of Northern Light Maine Coast Hospital to bring compassionate, high quality healthcare to all in our region,” shares Curtis Simard, president and CEO of Bar Harbor Bank & Trust. “We are honored to have a long history as a corporate partner and are pleased to continue this commitment with support for the Building on a Promise Capital Campaign.”

Every gift (individual, family, and corporate gifts or pledges) made to the campaign will stay in Ellsworth to support the hospital’s modernization project.  Naming opportunities are available to recognize the support of individuals, families, and businesses and in honor or memory of loved ones.
