Joe Kellner
Vice President of Finance & Business Operations for Northern Light Home Care & Hospice
Joe Kellner is the vice president of finance and business operations for Northern Light Home Care & Hospice.
Joe is responsible for ensuring the financial health of the agency through budgeting, payroll, and financial management, regularly and collaboratively working with vendors, managing the organization’s contracts, and overseeing revenue cycle functions. Though his current role is supporting the business operations side of Northern Light Home Care & Hospice, his roots are in direct patient care, having been a licensed EMS provider since 2004. Even in his financial operations role, Joe is committed to ensuring our patients are at the center of every decision the organization makes. Joe also serves in the role of vice president of finance for Northern Light Medical Transport and LifeFlight of Maine.
Joe is passionate about making sure the patients can easily and intuitively access Home care and Hospice services across all service areas and ensuring clinical teams have the support and tools they need to deliver the best care possible.
Prior to joining Northern Light Home Care & Hospice, Joe has held senior leadership roles in call center/communications services and emergency medical services. Through the COVID19 Pandemic, he has served as the agency’s incident commander.
He serves on Maine Board of Emergency Medical Services board and is immediate past chair
and he volunteers with the Presumpscot Land Trust and LifeFlight of Maine.
Education:
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration, University of Maine
- Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives
- Licensed paramedic
Joe became the vice president of Finance & Business Operations in March of 2019.
