EMMC earns Gold Seal of Accreditation for commitment to patient safety and quality care

Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center has once again received the prestigious Gold Seal of Accreditation from The Joint Commission. This recognition reflects the Medical Center's ongoing commitment to providing the highest standards of patient care, safety, and operational excellence.

During a recent survey, The Joint Commission’s rigorous evaluation process examined every aspect of the organization, from clinical protocols and infection control to staff training and patient rights. "To meet and exceed these standards is a testament to our team's shared culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and patient-centered values," says Ava Collins, MHA, FACHE, president, Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center. "The Gold Seal is more than an honor; it reflects who we are as an organization and the promise we keep to the communities we serve."

She added, "We are deeply grateful to the many workforce members who participated in the survey process which lead to this important accreditation."
