Integrative Medicine

Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center for Family Medicine and Residency Program has aligned itself with the University of Arizona’s Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine to provide residents the opportunity to concurrently complete an integrative medicine curriculum while in residency. It offers residents evidence-based tools and recommendations to treat patients with lifestyle, supplementation, and nutrition as well as pharmacologic modalities with aim to approach wellness more holistically.

Faculty experienced in integrative medicine including modalities such as acupuncture, osteopathic manipulation, hypnotherapy and more infuse these complementary approaches each day as we care for patients.  Elective rotations in integrative medicine with physicians practicing in surrounding communities are also an option.

This is an opt in opportunity that is paid for in total by CME funds provided by the program and is associated with a certificate of completion.
