Nikki Chadwick, RN, MSN, CPHQ, is the Vice President of Education & Preparedness at CA Dean and Mayo Hospitals. In her role, Nikki is responsible for, Education, Safety, and Emergency Preparedness functions. Radiology, Rehabilitation, Facilities, and Community Outreach also report to her.
 
Nikki is passionate about education, safety, and preparedness for emergencies. This improves ALL safety.

Nikki leads healthcare education locally to staff our facilities and provide opportunities for Piscataquis County and our region.
 
Nikki has been a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality since 2012.
 
Prior to joining Northern Light Mayo Hospital as a new graduate RN in 1995, Nikki was a student and CNA.

Vice President of Nursing and Patient Care Services, Northern Light Mayo Hospital

Denise-2.jpgDenise Scuderi, BSN, RN is Vice President of Nursing and Patient Care Services at Northern Light Mayo Hospital. In her role, Denise oversees nursing at the hospital and operations for several hospital departments.
 
Denise is passionate about women and infant health care. She is also committed to age friendly healthcare, focusing on what matters to the patient and championing palliative care services.
 
She previously worked as a high-risk labor and delivery nurse in Georgia prior to relocating to Maine in 2004. Denise served as a staff nurse and nurse manager in the Mayo Hospital OB Department prior to taking on her current role.
 
Denise has served on the statewide Substance Exposed Infant Task Force since 2010 and was on the original team that helped put together the Snuggle ME guidelines. She currently serves as the chair of the board for Partners for Peace. She is an active member of Helping Hands with Heart and the Maine Highlands Integrated Response Network (MHRIN). She served previously on the Pastoral Council for OLOTS, was Board Secretary for the American Vocational Association (AVA), and has volunteered in the community for the March of Dimes, Partners for Peace, and Susan G. Komen. 
 
Denise is a Veteran of the U.S. Army.

Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer, Northern Light CA Dean Hospital


Brad-2.jpgBrad Gilbert, MBA, BSN, RN, NRP, CEN, Vice President of Nursing & Operations, is responsible for all nursing and hospital department operations and assists with nursing projects and initiatives throughout Northern Light Health. Brad is passionate about coaching and mentoring staff to help them reach their greatest potential, with a focus on empowering every caregiver to provide the highest quality, most compassionate care.

Brad is a Certified Emergency Nurse and a Nationally Registered Paramedic and Licensed Paramedic in Maine.

Brad previously served as Director of Clinical Services, Clinical Educator, and Paramedic at CA Dean. Prior to joining the organization, he worked as a Paramedic, Staff Nurse, and in various leadership roles in Maine, Colorado, and Hawaii.

As a leader in the community Brad serves as Board President of the Moosehead Historical Society & Museums and is also a Board Member for Destination Moosehead Lake.

Vice President of Finance and Physician Practices Northern Light CA Dean and Northern Light Mayo Hospitals

Jennifer Goodrich, MBA, CMPE is the vice president of Finance and Jennifer Goodrich, FACMPE, FACHE is the vice president of Finance for Northern Light CA Dean Hospital, Northern Light Mayo Hospital, Northern Light Sebasticook Valley Hospital, and Northern Light Health Medical Group, and Vice President of Physician Practices for Northern Light CA Dean and Northern Light Mayo Hospitals.
 
Jennifer is responsible for financial oversight of three critical access hospitals and the system’s medical group.  In addition to her financial responsibilities, she also oversees the operations of the practices at the Northern Light facilities in Piscataquis County.
 
Jennifer is passionate about making a difference in the organization and supporting those who care directly for the patients in our communities.
 
As a leader in the community, she has served as the treasurer on several area board of directors.  She was also elected to be the Maine Regent with the American College of Healthcare Executives in 2024.
 
Prior to joining Northern Light Health, Jennifer was in public accounting for a few years and prior to that was a student at Thomas College.

Senior Physician Executive, Northern Light CA Dean and Mayo Hospitals

David B. McDermott, MD, MPH, CPE, FAAFP, FAAPL is the senior physician executive of Northern Light Mayo and CA Dean Hospitals.

Dr. McDermott is the interface between the practicing members of the medical group in Piscataquis County and the system—hospital administration and the medical group. He leads practitioner recruiting efforts and onboarding and provides medical direction at CA Dean and Mayo Hospitals.  He has local oversight of both hospital’s quality initiatives.  He is also the medical director for Northern Light Mayo Hospital EMS.
 
As a physician, Dr. McDermott is passionate about patient care and experience, patient quality, and practitioner engagement.  He is working both locally and at the system level to improve the care experience for patients being treated with controlled substances and for those who live with substance use disorders.
 
As a leader, Dr. McDermott currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Medical Mutual Insurance Company of Maine. He is also a past president of the Maine Medical Association. In the community he is a past president and an active member of the Kiwanis Club of Dover-Foxcroft. 
 
Prior to joining Northern Light Health, Dr. McDermott was the chief medical officer for Mayo Regional Hospital and a practicing family physician.  He has lived with his family and worked in Piscataquis County since 1993.

Senior Vice President and Regional President, Northern Light Health, and President of Northern Light CA Dean and Northern Light Mayo Hospitals

MarieMarie Vienneau, BSN, NE-BC, FACHE is a regional president who oversees Northern Light CA Dean, Inland, Mayo, and Sebasticook Valley Hospitals and serves as president of CA Dean and Mayo Hospitals. 

Marie has spent her career in rural healthcare and is passionate about patients having access to high quality healthcare. As president of Piscataquis County’s two hospitals, Marie serves as the liaison to the board and community and oversees strategic direction, management, and quality of care. Additionally, as regional president, she helps build alignment between four regional hospitals. 

Marie’s connections to rural Maine run deep. She grew up in Millinocket and East Millinocket, and her father was a millworker for 40 years. Marie was appointed CEO of Millinocket Regional Hospital in 2002 and provided steady leadership during a time of transition in the community. She joined what was then known as Mayo Regional Hospital in 2014 and added CA Dean Hospital to her leadership responsibilities when Mayo Hospital joined Northern Light Health in 2020.

Marie is past president of ACHE Northern New England and a former Regent for ACHE. She currently serves on the Maine Hospital Association Board and Executive Committee, serves on the Destination Moosehead Lake Board, and is a member of the Dover-Foxcroft Kiwanis Club.
