2018-CMNH-Dairy-Queen-Miracle-Treat-Day-Internet-ACADIA.jpgA miracle blizzard is in the forecast for Thursday, August 2 as local Dairy Queen restaurants host Miracle Treat Day to support children’s healthcare. A minimum of one dollar from every Blizzard sold on Miracle Treat Day will be donated to EMHS Foundation Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals to ensure Maine kids and families have access to the specialized, high quality healthcare they deserve.
Dairy Queen locations in Bangor (Bangor Mall and Broadway locations), Belfast, Brewer, and Old Town are participating in Miracle Treat Day.
Every penny raised stays in the region, and since 2015, area Dairy Queens have raised more than $22,000 to benefit children’s healthcare provided at EMHS hospitals. Recently, EMHS Foundation Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals funded the Acadia Hospital CARES Youth Suicide Prevention Video Series and purchased several pieces of lifesaving equipment, including a neonatal transport incubator used to transport the smallest and most vulnerable newborns to Eastern Maine Medical Center.
From Portland to Presque Isle, Blue Hill to Greenville, and everywhere in between, EMHS Foundation Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals are proud to provide the highest levels of care to local children and their families. One hundred percent of the funds raised stay local to make sure doctors, nurses, and staff have the resources they need to provide the very best care for the more than 70,000 children who come through their doors each year.
