Nadia Mendiola, MD

Dr. Nadia Mendiola was born and raised in Texas. She went to St. Mary’s University for as an undergraduate where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science of Biochemistry. Dr. Mendiola stayed in San Antonio, TX to study medicine at University of Texas Health San Antonio. She remained at UTH San Antonio for both her general psychiatry residency and child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship.

Through her many travels Dr. Mendiola and her husband found a love of the Maine community, climate, and landscape and decided to venture out of Texas to continue life in Maine. She started at Acadia hospital in 2019 where she practices inpatient child psychiatry.

She has a passion for working with neurodevelopmental pediatric population, trauma focused patient care, and parent education, as well as community outreach projects. She also finds a desire for helping student doctors and residents find their unique voice while practicing the art of medicine, while providing the knowledge base of psychiatry.

When not working she loves travelling with her family, playing her flute, and hiking or climbing any and all landscapes.
