Christy Blevins, DO
Dr. Blevins earned her medical degree from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in South Carolina and completed a Residency program in psychiatry at LewisGale Medical Center in Virginia. She specializes in adult psychiatry with an emphasis on women’s mental health and the mental health of our LGBTQ+ population.
When asked to describe her treatment philosophy, Dr. Blevins shared, “My philosophy surrounds a collaborative team approach to ensure individualized, patient-centered care.”
When not working with patients at Acadia, Dr. Blevins enjoys listening to music, playing her trumpet, attending concerts, and watching hockey. She also loves to bake is always on the look-out for tasty new cookie recipes. Another pastime is traveling. According to Dr. Blevins, “I have traveled through or visited more than 45 states in the US and I am hoping to cross all 50 states off my list soon!”
