Jennifer Scott, PMHNP
Jennifer Scott is originally from Tennessee but has made Maine her home for the last eight years.
She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Notre Dame. Jennifer obtained her Masters of Nursing degree from Vanderbilt University, and she also holds a Masters of Accountancy from the University of Texas at Austin and formerly worked as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) for many years.
Since starting at Northern Light Acadia Hospital in 2014, Jennifer has been involved in various areas of pediatric mental health treatment. She worked four years on the inpatient child and adolescent unit prior to transitioning to outpatient. In the outpatient realm, she has worked in the Pediatric Day Treatment Program and the Outpatient Medication Management clinic, where she currently holds a leadership role.
Jennifer enjoys working with the pediatric population and their families, as this affords the opportunity for early intervention to address behavioral health concerns, with the hope of enabling a brighter future for these patients. Jennifer is also part of the Maine Pediatric Behavioral Health Partnership, a consultative service which allows for direct communication between psychiatric providers and primary care providers as a means of enabling mental health intervention and providing guidance at a primary care level.
Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys walking her dog, reading, spending time with family, and keeping up with her very busy preschooler!
