Wayne Steller

Wayne M. Steller, PMHNP-BC is the vice president of Nursing and Patient Care Services at Acadia Hospital.
In this role, Wayne is responsible for the oversight of pharmacy, nursing, and inpatient clinicians. He was appointed Acadia’s interim VP of Nursing and Patient Care Services in November of 2022 after previously serving in this role from 2013 to 2020.
Prior positions with Acadia include nurse manager of pediatric inpatient units from 2003 to 2007 and overnight charge nurse and relief house administrator from 2002 to 2003.
A veteran of the US Navy, Wayne served as a shipboard hospital corpsman from 1976 to 1980 and in the Army reserves from 1980 to 1982 as a battlefield medic. After leaving active service, he worked at Maine’s state-run behavioral health hospital in Bangor, Maine from 1980 to 1992 in variety of nursing positions.
