Angela Macera, MBA, BSN, RN is the vice president of nursing and patient care servcies for Northern Light Acadia Hospital.
In her role, Angela oversees inpatient nursing and clinical operations, including the development, implementation, and evaluation of structures and processes that promote evidence-based nursing practice, quality patient care, and services through utilization of problem-solving techniques.
She is passionate about nursing leadership, mentoring, and educating others in psychiatric nursing. Angela is especially interested in educating successive leaders and sharing her values and experiences.
Angela is a member of American Psychiatric Nurses Association and volunteers her time as a suicide hotline volunteer. She is a member of the Italian American Association, the Esperia Benevolent Society , and the Carabinieri Club.
Prior to joining Northern Light Health, Angela was a psychiatric nursing consultant at Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital in Plattsburgh, New York. Prior to that she was director of system behavioral health at The Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii, and assistant director of nursing at Gracie Square Hospital/New York-Presbyterian Hospital in New York, New York.
