April is National Donate Life Month. Did you know one organ, eye, and tissue donor can save up to eight lives, restore sight to two people, and heal the lives of more than 75 people. This month-long recognition encourages individuals to register as donors, honors those who have donated, and acknowledges the countless lives saved through donation. Organ donation is a life-changing gift. With more than 100,000 people in the United States currently waiting for a transplant, registering as a donor can make a significant difference in someone's life.
Northern Light Health proudly supports and celebrates National Donate Life Month, acknowledging the generosity of donors and their beautiful gift of life to others.
In addition to National Donate Life Month, Blue & Green Day takes place Friday, April 11. By raising awareness and encouraging donor registration, we can ensure more individuals receive the gift of life. Let’s wear blue and green on Friday April 11 and post photos to social with #BlueGreenDay.
On behalf of Northern Light Health, we extend our heartfelt appreciation to donors and their families for their selfless acts of kindness. We also thank those who have already registered as donors and encourage others to follow their example. Together, we can create a healthier future for those in need of life-saving transplants.
