Becoming a Preceptor
As a preceptor, your role is to help students translate theoretical learning to real-world clinical practice through observation, discussion, and most importantly, mentorship.
Each preceptorship offers individual providers different incentives, which can include:
- Annual stipend for cerified preceptors.
- Clinical adjunct faculty appointment, a designation that can most often be used to teach in other accredited institutions.
- Access to college or university library resources.
- APPA Category 1 continuing medical education (CME) credits.
- Email account for academic use.
