Traditional Clerkship (Block)
The Traditional Clerkship, also known as the Block rotation, at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center accepts a total of 32 students from UNECOM each year. Students are matched to sites through a lottery process, completed by UNECOM, and then assigned rotation tracks.
The Traditional Clerkship students assiged to NL EMMC complete core rotations in the following areas: Surgery, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics, Family Medicine, and Psychiatry, with each rotation being either six or twelve weeks long.
