Mercy Hospital receives top government quality rating
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has released updated hospital quality ratings, and Northern Light Mercy Hospital has retained its top score of five stars again this year. Hospital Compare
, a website maintained by CMS, makes quality ratings for more than 4,500 hospitals accessible to consumers.
“Fewer than 300 hospitals nationwide received this distinction,” said Charlie Therrien, president of Mercy Hospital. “This achievement is a direct reflection of the approach taken by all at Mercy who continually strive to maintain the highest quality care in order to provide the very best patient experience.”
Five stars is the federal agency’s highest rating for excellence in care and quality. Ratings published by CMS are designed to help consumers make informed decisions by comparing hospitals based on safety, clinical quality, and patient experience.
