Inland Welcomes New Community Health Coordinator
Northern Light Inland Hospital is pleased to welcome Jim Fortunato as our new Community Health Coordinator.
Jim has nearly 20 years of experience in Community Health, most recently with Redington-Fairview General Hospital in Skowhegan, where as a Certified Tobacco Treatment Specialist he worked with adults with treatment and with youth with prevention efforts. He also worked with hospital dietitians offering healthy weight management programs and with providers, other health professionals and community members to address a variety of other health topics both at the hospital and in the community. Jim earned a bachelor’s degree in Community Health Education from the University of Maine at Farmington.
Jim will oversee Inland’s community health strategy and coordinate the organization’s health outreach programs, including the Family Fun Series and the Let’s Go! 5210 program in local schools, childcare settings and medical practices.
A Mount Vernon resident, Jim is excited to join the Inland team. “I am looking forward to building relationships and working to support the health and well-being of the greater Waterville community.”
