Root Beer Floats to Benefit Local Kids
Bangor, Maine (August 6, 2019) – What tastes better than a root beer float on a nice summer day? A root beer float on National Root Beer Float Day that also helps local children! On August 6, Courtyard by Marriott in Bangor will serve up root beer floats, with the help of some very special guests, to benefit our local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital, Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center.
The Courtyard by Marriott located at 236 Sylvan Road in Bangor will be serving root beer floats from 4-6 pm. Since 1983, Marriott has raised $130 million for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals throughout the US, including Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center. Marriott International traces its beginnings to a humble root beer stand opened by J. Willard and Alice Marriott in the early 1900s.
As a nod to this heritage and in recognition of the company’s support of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals for more than 35 years, Marriott International is hosting Root Beer Float Days.
Donations for the floats are accepted, and every penny raised will stay in central, eastern, and northern Maine to help children receiving care at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center hospitals. Join them and raise a mug to the miracles!
