A Blizzard in July? Miracle Treat Day returns July 25
Bangor, Maine (July 24, 2019) – With all the heat this last week, a blizzard doesn’t sound so bad, especially if it means supporting local children’s healthcare. On Thursday, July 25 local Dairy Queen restaurants will donate a $1 or more from every blizzard on Miracle Treat Day to our local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital, Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center. The funds ensure Maine kids and families have access to the specialized, high quality care they deserve.
Dairy Queen locations in Bangor, Belfast, Brewer, Ellsworth, and Old Town are participating in Miracle Treat Day.
One hundred percent of the funds raised stay local to make sure doctors, nurses, and staff have the resources they need to provide the very best care for the more than 70,000 children who come through their doors each year. Since 2015, area Dairy Queens have raised more than $22,000 to benefit children’s healthcare provided at Northern Light Health hospitals. Recently, Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center purchased a 4-D ultrasound which provides significant depth and imaging and helps catch anomalies that may not be detected without the equipment.
