Childbirth Education Classes

Childbirth and Lactation education classes:

The Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center is available in three parts:

1. Injoy online Childbirth Education course: ($30) This e-class is an eight-chapter interactive class that uses videos, personal birth stories, animations, activities, and games to teach all the essential information parents need to prepare for their birth.  We highly recommend this course for first time parents and that you have finished it before you take the IN-PERSON/ZOOM childbirth education class so you can have any questions answered.mom-and-baby.jpg

The INJOY online class can start early in your pregnancy even at 20 weeks, you have 279 days to complete it.  If taking all three classes you should finish the series about 3-4 weeks before your due date.

At the end of each class an evaluation form can be completed to let us know how we can make our program better.  Once this form is completed a certificate will be sent to you verifying your attendance, check with your insurance, as some will reimburse payment and may need this certificate.  Scholarships are available to those with financial need.
